Raise support the vehicle safely according to manufacturer jacking supporting positions. The bit that looks like a lock should be in there. The door lock works in only one direction. I m trying to replace the door lock actuator on a 2006 volkswagen passat value edition.

All the instruction indicate i m to loosen two nuts to release the window but i don t see any nuts. The battery is likely dead and needs to be replaced but the remote s may also need to be reprogrammed to work. I see a threaded bolt but no nuts. This issue also indicates a bad lock actuator.

Locks work from the switch but not the remote. When where needed.
