I have about 200 board feet of vera wood argentine lignum vitae for sale. Again i m moving shortly so i don t want to have to move it. We display the specific gravity for each of our woods using it s kiln dried measurement instead of the non dried measurement. I paid 12 50 per board foot so that is what i am asking 12 50 per board foot.

Also called faux lignum vita very oily dense. The trouble with this number is that the specific gravity of a wood changes with its moisture content. Verawood sawdust has been reported to cause sneezing and the closely related lignum vitae has been reported to cause skin irritation. However verawood is an exceptional wood for turning on the lathe and finishes well.

Bright green when exposed to light. A wood doesn t float for example if it s specific gravity is 1 00 or greater. I didn t really want this lumber but it came with the cocobolo that i wanted so i had to buy it. It s just a guide.
